About - Imbue
This newsletter is a space to think together about the kind of future we want, and how to design the technologies and systems that help us get there.
Imbue was founded in 2021 to build a future where humans remain at the helm, shaping powerful AI systems rather than being subordinated to them.
As AI capabilities have grown more powerful, we’ve felt the need for serious inquiry into how to build this technology to enable human liberty and flourishing.
We’ll be sharing:
- essays on how software, data, and AI can be built to serve the human good
- conversations with people building and thinking at the frontier
- reflections on (and invites to!) the events we host in our SF office
- the best things we’re reading that inform our thinking
We hope this newsletter can be a way to stay anchored to the more fundamental questions in a rapidly-shifting AI landscape: How do we build technologies and companies that further the human good, rather than the accumulation of profit and power?
